Client: Archeon Novum
I got contacted by a historical open air museum Archeon Novum to concept and create 4 vertical animated loops featuring 4 character representing different historical figures: Vibia Sabina, Kanishka I, Tang Taizong and an Egyptian maiden. These animations would later be projected on the facades of museum's buildings during the Light Festival, dedicated to the theme of The Silk Road.

The Solution
The Challenge
The client and I agreed on specific design and animation principles beforehand. I offered them an effective cutout technique that would still visually achieve the desired effect.
The client was updated 2 times every week, participating in the creative process, as desired.
The animation projections were presented to all the visitors of Archeon throughout December-January.
Not only did the clients want to have 4 characters designed based on historical artifacts, they also wanted individual 10-15 second loops to have a special focus on silk garments.
All in 3 weeks.

VATAHA Foundation
VATAHA Foundation works to spread Ukrainian culture in the Netherlands. For ROOTLESS, an a-capella concert of a vocal group called Korali, they asked me to create a 60-minute long animated backdrop for 15 songs in total. They had a very specific request to only use elements from "The Tree of Life" by Daria Alyoshkina.
The Solution
The Challenge
I broke down the original artwork into distinguishable pieces, revealing and combining them in different variations across the animation programme. I optimized the work by creating template loops and mixing and matching them.
As the result, a big volume of work was delivered fast and efficiently. Korali presented their concert in June 2025 in Den Haag, and still use the visuals I created for them during their performances.
A big volume of work within tight deadline and budget, with minimal visual control and design elements.
