Fathoming Dinner

The wealthy Trashworth family's luxurious dinner party devolves into an absurdist war of gossip and vanity, completely ignoring the serious global issues their decadent lifestyle represents. A biting satiric short full of social commentary, darkly comic family issues, and a scene-stealing dog who’s just lapping up the chaos.

The

Goal

The

Challenge

To assemble a team, secure independent funding, and establish a production pipeline capable of delivering an 8-minute animated short film within a 1-year production cycle.

Leading a team of 6 artists without a big studio infrastructure, ensuring we have time-efficient techniques that stay visually consistent for every team member, while simultaneously running a crowdfunding campaign and working on the future strategy of the project.

Scope of Work

Built the master shotlist and arranged weekly sprint meetings with the team to fix any arising blockers. Sought external mentors (studio Mooves).

Together with the team, developed a specific 2D-rig + 3D environment pipeline to optimize the time and style consistency. Executed a successful €3,000 crowdfunding campaign on Voordekunst. Arranged voice actors, a DCP-maker, and a high-quality 5.1 sound edit.

Developed a festival strategy, managing international submissions, technical asset delivery formats, and promotional press kits.
